The non-profit organization, SCORE, is offering a TECHNOLOGY TUESDAY on the first Tuesday of every month to all serious business owners, entrepreneurs, and those who are seeking to get into business, or need help with the TECHNOLOGY related to business activities.

This open forum allows attendees to interact with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) who use the technology daily for business activities, and the SMEs are there to answer as many questions as possible to the open forum group so that each attendee can learn not only from their own questions, but from other attendee’s questions.

Technology Tuesday Open Forum encourages questions on the following subjects.

1) Social Media: what to use, when to use, how often to use, where to use, and a few how-to use for marketing and branding your business services or products; Social Media SMEs are versed in Facebook, LinkedIn, Pinterest, Instagram, Twitter, and other related social media; SME’s can offer advice on what you need to know as a business owner to use those ‘free’ or ‘low-cost’ marketing, branding, and advertising platforms that will net you more visits, looks, and interest from your current or future clients.

2) Websites: what is the best way to go about getting a website established; who and what should I avoid to eliminate time and unnecessary expenses and wasted resources; what is the difference between a domain name and a website name; what should I seriously consider when plunging into building my website or having it built by a professional; what should I know in concept and understanding so I can talk intelligently to my website builder; how to avoid getting ‘ripped off’ by expensive website building packages; what to look for in website hosting companies and what to avoid at all costs; what I need to know to add to my website and how often to change it out and add content and material.

3) Software: sometimes it is as simple as needing to know how to use MS Office Word, Excel, and/or PowerPoint to create business documents; to gain the ability to write text and content for application to or adding into your websites; how to search for content to write about or add to your business website, blogs, or other marketing material.

4) Marketing content: Simple do and don’ts you should consider when you market your business or services.

Since this is an open forum – the questions or topics are NOT scheduled.  You come in with your list of questions and regardless of the topic, if it is within the Technology Tuesday Forum parameters, we will go around the room and answer all the attendees questions to the best of our ability.

Bring paper, pencils and pens to take notes.

You are welcome to bring your laptop to access the Retail Alliance wifi for Internet access.

It is perfectly acceptable for you to bring your own lunch and beverages during this Open Forum.

We look forward to seeing you there!
